it has been 2 weeks since I immersed myself in a 7-day dark retreat where there was only ME and nothing and nobody else. The idea came to me in the summer and I’m glad I didn’t ignore it and took it seriously. I opened this website and after reading it I knew that going to Lenka and Tomáš was the obvious choice. I trusted that they do it from the heart, and even though I had never seen them and didn’t know them, I put myself in their hands…
A sunset before the dark retreat
Before going into the cabin I went to watch the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen. Then Tomáš took me through the instructions in the cabin and at half past nine I switched off the light and went to sleep. When the light went off I saw stars all around me and for the whole week I felt as if I were in outer space. I was quite well prepared mentally thanks to what I had read beforehand (Jaroslav Dušek, Dr Monika Sičová – working with the third eye), and thanks to that I was able to go really deep into myself. It is an indescribable discovery of yourself. You can’t retell it, because the personal experience is unique. I want to thank Lenka in particular for our little chat every day and for her support… Your mind tries to get you out, at moments you have the feeling that the darkness has already given you what you wanted, but it is really worth holding on and keeping your willpower right to the end...
What I recommend taking with you on a dark retreat
Saloos sprays – mint, lemon, a Powerball, some kind of chimes (just before I went in I bought KOSHI chimes and they were the best thing I took with me…) and then it depends on what you like.
I came into the darkness humbly, not really expecting that I would manage it, but I did, and I left the darkness inwardly enriched and understood in a completely unique way. If you don’t experience it, you won’t understand…
