the darkness was of great benefit to me, it brought hidden aspects into the light.
Though more than darkness, a hermitage was what I sought, the darkness freed me from every doubtful thought. It took me under the black wings of the night, showed me the hidden core of the things that had troubled me for more than a few months, the darkness uncovered it all in a single week.
It showed me my own light, hidden and tucked away so deep inside. The light that shines on people and helps them heal their lives. It showed me what power I have inside, and sketched out how to use it as my guide.
Thank you, and thank you to the southern sanctuary, for that one single week of darkness. For your care and your support ,which carried me towards other horizons.
The experiences I had there, though, I will keep to myself, they are personal and as such I will keep them safe inside me for now.
Thank you once again for the journey through darkness, which was more than a one-week holiday .

And for Lenka I’m sending a recipe for quick soft gingerbread biscuits, I hope you’ll enjoy them ,as much as we do 🙂 . We bake them at Christmas and Easter
GINGERBREAD BISCUITS that are soft straight away
400 g plain flour
140 g icing sugar
50 g butter
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of good runny honey ( can be more )
1 tablespoon cocoa
2 tablespoons rum
1 teaspoon gingerbread spice ,or your own blend
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of sodamix all the dry ingredients in a bowl ,add the other ingredients and work into a dough ,which is soft and pliable like stretchy Plasticine
wrap in cling film and put in the fridge overnight.The next day let it soften at room temperature ,roll it out ,cut out shapes and bake at 160°C for 8-10 minutes,while still warm brush with egg yolk mixed with a little water .Decorate once cooled .
