I made up my mind quickly and went for darkness therapy two weeks later – and I’m really glad I did.

Here you can read about the experiences of people who have been on a dark retreat. Please bear in mind that feelings and the course of a stay in the dark are individual, and that other people’s experiences may plant expectations in you.
After a dark retreat: the darkness taught me to feel my emotions
The dark retreat taught me to feel my emotions – before, I never really knew how.
Jan – after the dark retreat I feel calmer
Hi Tom / Lenka,
there are no words to describe a dark retreat in a way that would express what I’m really getting out of this experience, but put simply, it was a powerful, unusual experience and I’ll definitely be glad to come back. Even a week is too short ha ha.
Darkness therapy brought me calm
After darkness therapy I’m definitely calmer and more rested, and the retreat was the main trigger that set off a chain reaction of things I already had an inkling I should / shouldn’t / wanted / didn’t want to do for myself.
I’ll blurt out some ordinary human nonsense, but I no longer smoke, I don’t eat sugar, I only drink water / tea, I don’t drink coffee.
I’ll come back for another dark retreat
Have a fantastic day, and thanks for the chance to spend time bonding with the dark right there with you.

After a dark retreat: I don’t want to push things any more
I live under constant time pressure and I try to get everything done. But I’ve realised that maybe I don’t have to. What if we didn’t push so hard about time and learned to get lost in the present moment now and then?
After a dark retreat: no more sorting things out by shouting
Now I know I don’t want to sort things out by swearing and shouting any more. I’ve learned to calm myself down
After a dark retreat: I want to do everything properly now
I’ll do less, but I’ll focus more – the dark retreat helped me get there.
After a dark retreat: now I want to live in the here and now
Now I want to live in the here and now. When I went for a walk round the garden, there was so much life all around
After a dark retreat: I couldn’t meditate at home
In the dark, meditation just happened by itself – and I’m no meditator at all.
After a dark retreat: we slog away far too much for nothing
You can appreciate what you have, and you don’t have to keep chasing after something all the time.
Pavel and his unforgettable dark retreat: a journey within
I’ve decided to share my unique experiences from a 3-night dark retreat. It was such a positive experience for me that I’m already planning a longer dark retreat, this time for a whole week.
The dark retreat completely won me over. From the first moment I stepped into the Sanctuary of Peace, I felt that something exceptional was waiting for me. This special space, furnished with a wooden bed, gave me the comfort and safety I needed to be able to immerse myself fully in my inner world.
During my three-day retreat I went through an intense inner journey. In the dark I was forced to face my thoughts and feelings without any outside distractions. It was like a deep meditation that allowed me to understand myself better. Every moment was full of awareness and self-discovery.
The dark retreat was a liberating experience
This experience was very liberating for me. The dark retreat helped me get rid of the stress and tension I had been feeling for a long time. I could feel my mind settling and my inner peace coming back. It was as if I had found myself again.
I already know that next time I’ll come for a week. The three-day dark retreat was a great start, but I feel that a week-long stay will allow an even deeper transformation. I recommend it to anyone looking for a way back to themselves who wants to treat themselves to real rest.
If you are also thinking about a dark retreat, don’t hesitate and try this unique experience. Just like me, you can discover new dimensions of your inner world and return to everyday life with new energy and inner peace. A dark retreat is a truly unforgettable experience that is well worth it.
Pavel
