Until 2021, darkness therapy here was offered at a voluntary price. Covid rather threw a spanner in the works, and since then a dark retreat can be paid in instalments from 500 CZK a month. More about instalments and, above all, why.
Darkness therapy (a dark retreat) is an ancient healing method in which the practitioner stays in complete darkness. Throughout the stay in the dark, the practitioner is in contact with the guides, if they wish to be.
Darkness therapy in instalments from 500 CZK a month
We run darkness therapy because we want to help other people find the light, the love or the purpose that leads to happiness.
And through darkness therapy we see such results in our practitioners that we are delighted by them ourselves.
So if you cannot afford to pay for the whole dark retreat up front, you can book with just a deposit and start paying off the rest after your stay, at 500 CZK or 1,000 CZK a month.
The sanctuary comes with:
- A stay in complete darkness in a wooden cabin in an orchard
- A shower with hot water and a flush toilet
- A natural wooden bed with dual firmness
- Vegetarian meals provided for the whole day
- Underfloor heating and air conditioning
- Fresh air from a quality ventilation system
- A sleeping mat and a meditation cushion from India
- Bedding free of charge, unless you bring your own
- An electric kettle for tea or coffee
So what you pay for darkness therapy depends on what you can manage
Payment terms and payment options:
a) Half paid within 5 days of booking and the balance no later than one month before arrival
b) Half paid within 5 days of booking and the balance in 7 monthly instalments of 1,000 CZK after the end of your stay
c) Half paid within 5 days of booking and the balance in 16 monthly instalments of 500 CZK after the end of your stay
A dark retreat for two people in one cabin carries a surcharge of only 50%; we have the Sanctuary of Love for couples.

With us, the price of darkness therapy is voluntary in the form of instalments, even though elsewhere it runs to more than 3,000 CZK a night, and abroad even more than 300 EUR for a single day, which we think is too much.
